Gov. Sebelius is Pro-Abortion and Unfit to Serve HHS

George Tiller and Gov. Sebelius

As I’m sure you’ve heard, the U.S. Senate is considering whether to approve Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius — the most pro-abortion governor in the country — as President Obama’s nominee for Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).

So what is her record? As Governor, Sebelius repeatedly vetoed important measures such as abortion clinic regulations, parental involvement laws, and even vetoed measures designed to put common-sense limits on post-viability abortions — abortions done after the unborn child can live outside the womb.

The Sebelius record is filled with actions that made abortions easier to obtain and expanded abortion’s harm to women.

And if that isn’t enough, Governor Sebelius has gone out of her way to protect and promote infamous late-term abortionist George Tiller, whose blood money has been funneled through various channels to support Sebelius and other pro-abortion politicians in the state. Sebelius even held a private gala honoring Tiller after the 2006 election!

With her pro-abortion record, Governor Sebelius is unfit to serve as the American government’s healthcare CEO.

Some Senators have decided it’s pointless to oppose Sebelius because any nominee President Obama puts forward for HHS Secretary will be pro-abortion.

I disagree.

When it comes to defending human life and protecting women from the harm of abortion, I don’t believe there is any room for compromise on our principles.

Please stand with me.

I hope you will follow this link to tell your Senators what you think about the Sebelius nomination and encourage them to vote against it.

Thank you for your continued partnership.

Standing on principle,
